Welcome to my PhD defense. The defense is public — no sign-up needed, just show up.

The Beach Party
After the defense, we're swapping the lecture hall for sand. Beach volleyball with Karin Lundqvist (5-time Swedish champion) and Elin Nyman (LiU Prefect), then dinner and dancing — all indoors, weather-proof.
How to get there
Three ways to reach Linköping Beach Arena.
🚲 Bike or scooter
Follow Gustav on a ride from the University Hospital through Linköping's scenery. Leaves from the bike parking outside the north entrance around 17:00 (unless delayed by interesting scientific discussions). Same ride home — win-win.
🚌 Bus
Östgötatrafik bus 13 from Tinneröbadet (500 m from the hospital) to Idögatan (500 m walk to the arena). Departs every ~15 min through the day. Last bus back: 23:54 from Idögatan.
🚕 Taxi
For the financially independent.
👕 Dress code
Summer beach vibes ☀️ — light, relaxed, ready for sand. Shorts, summer dresses, linen, anything you'd wear to a beach party. No need to worry about the weather, it's all indoors.
